Take for instance the WWDC, where thousands of developers and business folks flock to see Apple and Steve Jobs in the same black turtleneck we have seen him in for the last decade or so. Jobs gets on stage and waves around the iPhone 4 - then everyone in there tweets and blogs that they just saw the iPhone and how amazing it is. The point of the conference was to share the new things happening in Apple for developers, but because of their mouths, iPhone has pre-orders and Apple.com is swarmed. This conference in particular, Steve Jobs had to ask everyone to turn off their wifi because they were using so much that it slowed down the demo of the iPhone - perfect example of a business using social media.
